Schedule for the week: Wednesday- All wrestlers at Hilhi. 6pm JV and frosh/Novice, Varsity starts immediately after.
Friday- Novice at Canby. Wrestling starts at 4:30pm
Saturday- All wrestlers help at our youth wrestling tournament which is also a fundraiser. Please be at Southridge at 7:30am to set up. Managers need to be here by 8am. All wrestlers must stay to help take down as well. This will probably be over by 12-1pm.

Our wrestling team took 3rd out of 21 teams at the Cleveland Tournament on Friday and Saturday. Congrats to Nicholas Piwonka and Travis Johnson for placing 6th, Matthew McRae and Dre Johnson for placing 3rd, Jake Martin placed 2nd, and congrats to Anthony Johnson for taking first place in very tough 32 man brackets.
The reason we placed so high was in part due to these individuals, but our entire team wrestled extremely well, especially through the consolation brackets picking up a ton of extra pin points along the way. We had quite a few wrestlers that came very close to placing. This was an amazing performance by a relatively young team. The coaching staff is very pleased with the progress we are making.
I would like to say that all involved were disappointed in the delay in wrestling on Friday and the very late return time. We have never experienced anything quite like that, and at least we didn't have to travel as far as some of the teams. The tournament ran very smoothly on Saturday and we do appreciate all of the parents that came to watch.
